The wildlife in our South African game parks is an incredibly complex inter weave of plant and creature species in an abundant array. The real star safari attractions are always the big mammals, which represent power and dominance "The Big Five" Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino.
The king among these is the elephant, the seemingly gentle giant which in an instant can turn destructive. Far more popular, though far less impressive than the elephant is the lion - the great lure for tourists in any African game reserve. Less common than the lion but equally spectacular are the other two big cats; the leopard, quite easily found by those who know where to look - in dappled shadows or in trees, and the cheetah, the most superbly graceful and fastest of all the big cats.
